(Sports Network) - The Yankees should have a familiar name penciled into the cleanup spot this evening when they continue their three-game series with the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field.
Centerfielder Bernie Williams is expected to rejoin the team after completing a five-game rehabilitation assignment with the Double-A Trenton Thunder. Williams has been out of the lineup since May 21 after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
"I feel I can compete," Williams said. "I am getting my timing back. I feel I can help the team. If I was going to have bad at-bats, they wanted me to have them here. I am going to go out there and let it rip."
